Welcome to Desert Shadows RV Resort
The Desert Shadows RV Resort Board of Directors has determined on March 30th, 2009, that this website, implemented in 2005, adversely affects a contract established in 2008 with DirectTech. It is the opinion of the Board that, due to their contract with DirectTech, the board will continue to work with DirectTech in order to establish the resort's internet goals.
The 2005 database driven website was designed by Herb Strandberg. It was very easy to maintain articles provided by the office, activity director and board. The website automatically started and stopped articles and events on individually scheduled dates, creating a very dynamic website. The historical website content (maintained in a database) is availalble to the board upon request. The unique site design has always been copyrighted by Herb Strandberg, because it can be easily adopted by other organizations and businesses. The design is available for purchase by the resort, should the board desire that someone else maintain the content of the website (a job I have voluntarily done for the past four years).
Based upon the request in the March 30th 2009 letter from the board, the site was removed on April 2nd to avoid the unexplained adverse effect it reportedly had on their contract!
